Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional safari representative and transferred comfortably to your hotel in Arusha. Take this opportunity to relax, recover from your journey, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of northern Tanzania. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore Arusha or simply rest at the hotel. Your guide will provide a short safari briefing and ensure that everything is ready for your exciting family adventure. Overnight in Arusha.
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Family Game Drive
After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive towards Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most beautiful wildlife destinations. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and diverse birdlife. Upon arrival, begin your family-friendly game drive through the park, keeping an eye out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, antelopes, and a variety of bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch or lunch at your selected lodge before continuing with an afternoon game drive. The park's open landscapes provide excellent opportunities for photography and wildlife observation. Your experienced guide will share interesting information about the animals, vegetation, and local ecosystem, making the experience enjoyable and educational for the whole family. Later, proceed to your lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Lake Manyara Route – Serengeti National Park – Afternoon Game Drive
After breakfast, begin your journey towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The drive takes you through beautiful Tanzanian landscapes, rural communities, and the scenic areas surrounding the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, enjoy views of traditional villages, farmland, and changing landscapes as you make your way toward the Serengeti. After entering Serengeti National Park, continue towards your accommodation while enjoying an introductory game drive. In the afternoon, explore the endless Serengeti plains in search of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and other wildlife. Depending on the season, you may also witness large concentrations of animals associated with the Great Migration. As the afternoon progresses, enjoy the spectacular scenery and golden African sunset before heading to your lodge or camp. Have dinner and relax after an exciting day of wildlife exploration.
Day 3: Serengeti Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Ngorongoro Highlands
Wake up early for a memorable morning game drive in the Serengeti. The early hours are among the best times for wildlife viewing, as many animals are active before the heat of the day. Look out for predators such as lions and cheetahs, as well as herds of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and giraffes. After the game drive, return to your accommodation for breakfast before beginning your journey towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. Continue enjoying the spectacular landscapes and wildlife along the way, with opportunities for additional game viewing depending on the route and time available. Arrive in the Ngorongoro Highlands in the afternoon and settle into your lodge or camp. Take time to relax, enjoy the beautiful highland scenery, and prepare for the following day's adventure into the Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Return to Arusha
After breakfast, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for your final and unforgettable family safari experience. Often described as one of Africa's greatest wildlife destinations, the crater provides an incredible setting for observing a wide variety of animals within a relatively compact area. During the crater game drive, look for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, gazelles, and numerous bird species. With some luck, you may also have the opportunity to spot the endangered black rhinoceros. Your guide will help you discover the crater's unique ecosystem while making the experience enjoyable and informative for both adults and children. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the designated area before beginning your ascent from the crater. Afterward, drive back towards Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or evening.
