1. Is the Samburu community experience included?
It is included only when clearly stated in the confirmed itinerary and quotation. A responsible visit should be arranged in advance with recognised community representatives.
2. Is the cultural experience community-led?
A responsible experience should be hosted and explained by community members. This gives guests direct local perspectives and allows communities to control how their culture is presented.
3. Can photographs be taken during cultural visits?
Permission must be requested before photographing people, children, homes or activities. Anyone who declines must be respected. Photography should not interrupt work, education or private life.
4. Must guests purchase crafts?
No. Purchases are voluntary. Buying directly from artisans may support local income, but guests should never feel pressured.
5. Does the package still include strong wildlife viewing?
Yes. Samburu and Maasai Mara provide substantial wildlife activities, while Lake Nakuru adds rhinos. Cultural and conservation themes deepen the experience rather than replacing the safari.
6. Can cultural visits be removed?
Yes. A cultural visit may be replaced with additional wildlife viewing when the itinerary is adjusted before confirmation. Fees and timing should be revised in writing.
7. Which conservation topics are covered?
Possible topics include rhino protection, freshwater use, grassland ecology, wildlife corridors, tourism revenue and community land. The safari is educational but does not replace a formal scientific course.
8. Is the Lake Naivasha boat activity included?
It depends on the confirmed package. Weather and safety conditions may affect operation. The activity can support discussions about freshwater ecology and local livelihoods.
9. Can children participate?
Yes. Explanations can be adapted to age, but parents remain responsible for supervision and respectful behaviour during wildlife and community activities.
10. Can specialist conservation experiences be added?
Yes, subject to availability, permission and additional cost. Specialist talks, projects or community initiatives require advance coordination.
