We started the day with an early morning driving game before heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro is a special place in that it is a reserve, not a national park. this means that the entire area is managed for both animals and the local Maasai people graze their livestock along with native wildlife. During the drive to Ngorongoro, we were fortunate to see the Maasai way of life. After stopping at the entrance, where we can learn more about this fascinating volcanic landscape, we will walk around the crater, and from there we can look down and see herds of wildebeest or buffalo herds, we ended up going down to the crater. , the floor of the largest unbroken crater in the world also known as Ngorongoro Crater.
Home to more than 120 species of mammals, including the legendary Big Five, the Ngorongoro Crater area is one of the most sought-after hunting destinations in the world. It's an especially great place to see endangered black rhinos enjoying a solitary meal in the grasslands, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippos enjoying the cool waters.
In the late afternoon, you will go up to the crater rim and out of the park and your guide will take you to Arusha/Moshi for the night.
End of safari.
