Stay at your accommodation, relax and get used to the African atmosphere. Ready to start your 3-day migration safari in the great Serengeti plain of Tanzania (crossing the Mara River) the next day. Arusha is a city in northern Tanzania and the capital of the Arusha Region with a populace of 416,442 plus 323,198 in the surrounding Arusha District. Located under Mount Meru, at the eastern end of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, Arusha has a temperate climate. The city is close to Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara National Park, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro and Arusha National Park on Mt. Meru
Early morning after breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel, Tanzania Safari’ guide will transfer you to Arusha airport for a flight to North Serengeti. Upon arrival, embark on a wilderness safari and follow the Great wildebeest Migration Trails. We arrive at the lodge in time for lunch, and after lunch we enjoy a game drive in the area. The wildebeest migration usually takes place in the Wagakuria region from mid-July to October, depending on rainfall patterns. A long stretch of the Mara River passes through the Northern Serengeti National Park, and the Mara River presents its toughest obstacle to migration. It is amazing to witness the frantic herds of wildebeest crossing the Mara River. In the evening, we drive to the lodge for evening recreation game drive and overnight stay.
Day two of your 3 Days Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safari is the highlight of your safari.After breakfast, enjoy a full day safari in the Wagakuria area. The wildlife population is exceptionally high in this part of the park, with up to 30 strong lions, but from mid-July to October the area transforms into a wildlife port of call. Its main feature is the Mara River, and it is not uncommon to see herds cross the Mara River to the north one day and return to the south a few days later. Note - Finding an intersection is very difficult and sometimes a matter of luck. A herd is seen near the river and decides to cross or not cross until a few days later. This area is a beautiful region with forests, river vegetation and open Serengeti plains, similar to the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya.
(An option to take a hot air balloon is also in this area) Serengeti Balloon Safari: There are no words that can do justice to the experience of flying over the Serengeti. Get a bird's eye view of the park as you rise by the sun and witness the millions of wildebeest crossing the Mara River.
On this last days of your 3 days Serengeti Wildebeest migration safari, After breakfast at the camp/lodge, we leave for the Kogatende airstrip and enjoy a game drive along the way and beautiful sun rise over the Serengeti Plains. Take a scheduled flight from Kogatende runway/airstrip to Arusha Airport around mid-morning. Upon times of arrival at Arusha airport, you will meet our driver, who will take you to Arusha city. On arrival, we will have lunch, and then we will end our African safari adventure. You will be transferred to your hotel, which concludes our safari services.
