About 5 days Marangu Route Kilimanjaro Climbing

5 days Marangu route's short duration makes altitude acclimatization difficult. Mount Kilimanjaro is approached from the southeast. Unfortunately, Marangu is less scenic than the other routes because the ascent and descent follow the same path. As a result, it is also the busiest route. Burigi Chato Safaris® offers 5 and 6 day Marangu Route climbs. The difference is that the five-day climb does not include an acclimatization day at Horombo Hut on day three.

5 Days marangu Route General Overview

Marangu route Kilimanjaro climbing Despite the difficult final section to the summit, the 5 days itinerary is relatively easy. The easier route has the highest failure rate due to poor preparation and an untimely attempt. The above said incidents have prompted TANAPA officials to put a greater emphasis on and take more serious measures for those climbing Mt Kilimanjaro via the Marangu route. All of the camps along this route have reliable radio communication with the park office. Mineral water, soft drinks, beer, and chocolates are all available in these camps.

Make your way up to Gilman's point, which is on the crater rim, and begin your ascent to the summit very early in the morning (between midnight and two in the morning). We now reach Uhuru Peak, Africa's highest point, after continuing our ascent. The scenery is breathtaking at every turn. To show your loved ones, take a picture of yourself at the summit. After that, we go down to Kibo for lunch and a break before continuing on to the Horombo camp. This climb begins in the dark, so headlamps or flashlights are required.

It will be extremely cold until you begin descending, so you will need to wear all of your warm layers. This is by far the most difficult part of the hike due to the numerous switchbacks. By moving slowly ("pole pole") and adopting a positive outlook, you can get there. After reaching the summit, the fourth day of the five-day marangu route is a fantastic experience.
