Day 1: Lemosho Gate to Shira Camp 1 and Return
After meeting your experienced guides from Burigi Chato Safaris, you'll head to the Lemosho Gate, the starting point of the trek. Here, you'll complete the necessary registration procedures and receive a briefing on safety and trekking guidelines. The trail begins through lush rainforests, where you'll be surrounded by the sounds of nature and the rich biodiversity of Kilimanjaro. As you ascend, you'll notice the changing landscapes, from dense vegetation to more open spaces. The Lemosho Route offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. After a few hours of trekking, you'll reach Shira Camp 1, situated at an altitude of approximately 3,500 meters, you'll begin your descent back to the Lemosho Gate.
