Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara

Our day trip commences with an early departure from either Arusha or Moshi. As we make our way towards Lake Manyara National Park, the scenery changes from the hustle and bustle of the city to the vast plains and rolling hills of northern Tanzania. Upon arrival at the park, we are greeted by the stunning sight of Lake Manyara, a picturesque alkaline lake that is a prime spot for spotting wildlife. The lake's shores are home to a diverse range of bird species, including flamingos, pelicans, and storks, while the surrounding grasslands and forests are home to a variety of mammals, including elephants, buffalo, and the elusive tree-climbing lion. As we explore the park, we'll have the opportunity to take a guided nature walk through the park's diverse ecosystems, or take a boat ride on the lake to get up close to the birdlife. In the afternoon, we'll visit the park's famous tree-climbing lions, which are known to spend their days perched high in the acacia trees, surveying their territor
