To make the most of your day, we pick you up from your hotel at around 8:00 AM. The drive to the park takes about two hours on a paved road, allowing you to begin your game viewing by mid morning. You will spend the entire day exploring the park and return to Arusha in the early evening before sunset.

March falls during the transition to the green season, which means the park is lush and beautifully vibrant. While animals start to spread out as water becomes more available, Tarangire remains home to massive resident elephant populations. We provide a high quality picnic lunch box that you can enjoy at a designated site overlooking the Tarangire River. The meal typically includes a variety of items such as chicken, sandwiches, fresh fruit, and small cakes. Eating in the heart of the wilderness while watching animals in the distance is often a highlight for many travelers.
