Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our Shiri Adventures representative will be there to greet you and transfer you to your hotel in the charming town of Moshi. Depending on your arrival time, you will have a pre-hike briefing with your Kilimanjaro guide either this afternoon or the following morning.

Today, after a hearty breakfast, we'll embark on a three-hour drive from Moshi to Londorossi Park Gate for registration. Once the formalities are completed, we'll drive to Lemosho Glades, the starting point of our hike. The trail will lead us through beautiful forests, offering the possibility of spotting wildlife. After a pleasant 2-3 hour hike, we'll reach Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree) campsite, where we'll enjoy an afternoon snack and a delicious hot dinner.

Leaving the forest behind, we'll venture into the heath and moorland zone, making our way to the valley. The trail gradually becomes steeper as we ascend towards the high-altitude Shira Caldera. We'll pass by Shira Cave, with views of Arrow Glacier, before reaching Shira Hut 1 near a stream on the Shira Plateau.

Today, we'll head towards the School Hut Summit Camp at 4,750 meters. The Hike is not overly difficult, but it's essential to conserve energy for the final ascent to Uhuru Peak. Rest well at the School Hut, as tonight, we'll be heading for the summit.

The most challenging part of the hike awaits as we hike to Kilimanjaro's summit, Uhuru Peak, at 5,895 meters. Your personal guide will accompany you, monitoring your condition throughout the ascent. After reaching the summit, you can descend to the nearest glacier before making your way to Barafu Camp and eventually Millennium Camp for the night.
