Book a 10-day Kenya wildlife safari with midrange accommodations in Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Bogoria, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli from Nairobi.
Experience a complete Kenya wildlife circuit on this 10-day safari with midrange accommodations, travelling through Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Bogoria, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli. Three full days in Masai Mara provide excellent opportunities to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and large plains-game herds. Lake Nakuru adds rhinos, giraffes and waterbirds, while Lake Bogoria provides geothermal landscapes and possible flamingo gatherings. Lake Naivasha offers a peaceful freshwater stop with optional boat and nature-walk activities. Your journey finishes in Amboseli, famous for large elephant herds and possible views of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will travel with our professional driver-guide and stay in selected midrange lodges, hotels or tented camps that provide private rooms, good meals and convenient access to each destination.
Your Kenya wildlife safari with midrange accommodations begins with pickup from Nairobi and an approximately 280-to-300-kilometre journey to Masai Mara. The road transfer normally takes 5½ to 6½ hours, passing through the Great Rift Valley and Narok. After lunch and check-in at your midrange lodge or tented camp, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive lasting approximately 2½ to 3 hours. Our guide will search the open plains for elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes and predators.
After breakfast, you will spend approximately 8 to 10 hours exploring Masai Mara and cover between 80 and 150 kilometres. Our guide will search grasslands, river corridors and woodland for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas and large plains-game herds. A picnic lunch will be served inside the reserve.
Your safari continues with another full day in Masai Mara, allowing you to explore different sections and improve your chances of observing predators and animal behaviour. You may travel approximately 70 to 140 kilometres during 8 to 10 hours of game viewing. Lunch will be enjoyed at an authorised picnic location before further afternoon wildlife exploration.
A third full safari day provides more time to visit river areas, predator territories and quieter plains. The game drive may cover between 70 and 150 kilometres over approximately 8 to 10 hours. During migration months, large wildebeest and zebra herds may be present, although river crossings cannot be guaranteed. You will return to your lodge around sunset for dinner.
After breakfast and check-out, you will travel approximately 260 kilometres to Lake Nakuru over 5 to 6½ hours. After lunch and lodge check-in, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive lasting approximately 3 hours. Possible sightings include black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, baboons and waterbirds.
After breakfast, you may enjoy a morning Lake Nakuru game drive lasting 2½ to 3 hours before travelling around 120 kilometres to Lake Bogoria in 2½ to 3 hours. After lunch and check-in, you will visit Lake Bogoria National Reserve for flamingos when present, hot springs, geysers, greater kudus, zebras and Rift Valley scenery.
Following breakfast, you will travel approximately 180 to 200 kilometres to Lake Naivasha in around 3½ to 4½ hours. After lunch and lodge check-in, you may join an optional boat ride to observe hippos, African fish eagles, pelicans and other waterbirds. A Crescent Island nature walk may also be included.
After an early breakfast, you will travel approximately 320 kilometres to Amboseli over 6 to 7 hours. Lunch will be served en route or after arrival. If time permits, you will join a short afternoon game drive lasting approximately 2 hours, looking for elephants, giraffes, zebras and Mount Kilimanjaro views.
After breakfast, you will spend approximately 7 to 9 hours exploring Amboseli and cover between 60 and 120 kilometres. Our guide will visit marshes, woodland and open plains while searching for elephants, lions, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos and birds. Mount Kilimanjaro may be visible during clear morning weather.
Following breakfast and lodge check-out, you will travel approximately 240 kilometres to Nairobi in around 4 to 5 hours. A short morning drive may be arranged when timing allows. Drop-off will be provided at your Nairobi hotel, residence or airport.
