Day 1: Trekking from Moshi – Londorossi Gate - Mti Mkubwa Camp
After a hearty breakfast, your journey begins with a transfer to the Londorossi Gate at 2,250 meters above sea level. After completing the necessary registration, your adventure sets off into the dense rainforest. Accompanied by an armed ranger for safety, you'll trek through the unspoiled natural forest to reach the Big Tree Camp at 2,780 meters. Spend the night in tents at Big Tree Camp.

Today's trek is relatively easier than the previous day, ascending 240 meters to an altitude of 3,850 meters. The route covers around 7 km and takes approximately 3.5 to 4 hours. You'll cross the Shira Plateau, known for its wildlife sightings, and reach Shira 2 Camp (Shira Huts) in time for a hot lunch and dinner later in the evening.
