At approximately 5:30 AM, our guide will collect you from your confirmed Nairobi location. Gifts, luggage and personal belongings will be arranged securely before the journey north. Breakfast, refreshments and suitable comfort stops will be included.

Holiday Samburu Arrival

You will arrive around lunchtime and check into your premium lodge or luxury tented camp. Festive decorations, music or family activities may be available according to the property programme. A short evening safari may be completed when arrival time and reserve access permit.

Holiday Morning Wildlife Drive

At around 6:00 AM, you will begin a wildlife drive through Samburu’s dry plains and river habitats. The guide will search for rare northern animals, elephants, birds and possible predators. The private vehicle allows couples, families or friends to enjoy the experience comfortably.

Festive Afternoon Exploration

After breakfast, lunch and a midday rest, you will return for an afternoon safari at approximately 3:30 PM. The guide will explore a different wildlife area until around 6:30 PM. A festive dinner or lodge programme may follow when confirmed.

Christmas and New Year Rhino Safari

At approximately 6:00 AM, you will enter Lake Nakuru National Park for a morning game drive. The guide will search for rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, birds and possible predators. Flamingo numbers depend on natural lake conditions.

Journey to the Festive Mara

After breakfast and check-out, you will travel toward the Maasai Mara. Lunch or refreshments will be arranged during the transfer. Arrival is expected during the late afternoon at your premium lodge or luxury camp.

Holiday Predator Search

At around 6:00 AM, you will begin a complete game drive across the Maasai Mara. The guide will search for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest and possible cheetahs. Wildlife sightings and hunting behaviour cannot be guaranteed.

Festive Picnic and Afternoon Safari

At approximately 12:30 PM, you will enjoy a packed picnic lunch inside the reserve. The afternoon game drive continues until around 5:30 PM. A Christmas dinner, New Year event or other festive programme may follow when confirmed by the lodge.

Morning Wildlife Celebration

At approximately 6:00 AM, you will return to the reserve and explore a different wildlife zone. The guide will search for big cats, elephants and plains animals according to natural movement. The private arrangement allows a relaxed pace and additional photography time.

Holiday Afternoon Adventure

After a picnic lunch, the safari continues through another habitat until around 5:30 PM. The second full Mara day provides another opportunity for wildlife missed previously. Dinner and any confirmed festive entertainment follow at the lodge.
