Early Photography Departure

At approximately 5:30 AM, our driver-guide will collect you from your Nairobi hotel, residence or agreed meeting point. Cameras, lenses and personal luggage will be arranged securely before travelling through the Great Rift Valley and Narok. Breakfast, refreshments and a suitable comfort stop will be organised during the road journey.

First Mara Photography Drive

You will arrive near the Maasai Mara around lunchtime, check into your premium lodge or luxury tented camp and enjoy lunch. From approximately 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, your guide will search for elephants, giraffes, lions, buffaloes and plains wildlife in the warm evening light. You will return for dinner, equipment charging and overnight rest.

Sunrise Predator Search

At around 6:00 AM, you will begin a complete game drive while temperatures are cooler and many animals may be active. Your guide will explore open plains, riverine woodland and predator territories in search of lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and grazing herbivores. The private vehicle allows time to wait for natural behaviour without rushing.

Picnic and Golden-Hour Wildlife

At approximately 12:30 PM, you will enjoy a packed lunch at an authorised picnic site and review the morning photographs. The afternoon drive continues through another wildlife area until around 5:30 PM. Elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and possible predator activity may provide strong late-afternoon subjects.

Wildlife Behaviour and Environmental Portraits

At approximately 6:00 AM, you will return to the Maasai Mara for another complete photography day. The guide will select a different route according to wildlife movement, previous sightings and your preferred subjects. Greater attention may be given to animal interactions, wider landscapes and wildlife within the surrounding habitat.

Extended Afternoon Exploration

After a picnic lunch at around 12:30 PM, you will continue through areas not fully explored on Day 2. The additional day provides more time for elephant families, predators, birds and large herbivore groups. You will return to your premium accommodation at approximately 5:30–6:00 PM.

Final Deep Mara Search

At around 6:00 AM, you will begin a third complete day inside the Maasai Mara. The guide may revisit productive predator territories or explore a new section of the reserve according to current wildlife conditions. Specific hunts, river crossings and species cannot be guaranteed.

Sunset over the Savannah

Following a picnic lunch and midday rest, your afternoon safari will continue until approximately 5:30 PM. The final complete Mara day provides another opportunity for warm backlighting, silhouettes and expansive savannah scenes. Dinner and equipment organisation follow at your lodge or camp.

Final Mara Morning

A short morning wildlife drive may be completed before breakfast when the accommodation location and confirmed programme permit. Your guide will revisit productive areas for final Mara photographs. You will then return for breakfast, complete check-out and secure the equipment before departure.

Rift Valley Transfer

You will travel through Narok and the Great Rift Valley toward Lake Nakuru, with lunch, refreshments and comfort stops arranged along the route. Arrival at your premium Nakuru accommodation is expected during the afternoon. The evening provides time to rest, clean equipment and prepare for the next morning.

Rhinos, Giraffes and Lakeshore Birds

At approximately 6:00 AM, you will enter Lake Nakuru National Park for an early photography drive. Your guide will search for black or white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, possible predators and diverse birds. Flamingo numbers vary according to water levels, food availability and natural movement.

Transfer to Lake Bogoria

After breakfast and check-out, you will travel toward Lake Bogoria with lunch or refreshments arranged along the route. You will arrive at your selected accommodation during the afternoon and prepare for the following morning’s geothermal and bird photography. Dinner follows before overnight rest.

Flamingos and Geothermal Landscapes

At around 6:00 AM, you will explore Lake Bogoria National Reserve in the cooler morning hours. Possible subjects include flamingos, waterbirds, rugged escarpments, hot springs and geothermal features. Flamingo concentrations and access around geothermal areas depend on natural conditions and reserve safety instructions.

Journey to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast or refreshments, you will travel toward Lake Naivasha and arrive during the afternoon. You will check into a premium lakeside lodge and enjoy informal bird photography in the gardens or near the shoreline. Fish eagles, herons, kingfishers and other birds may be observed depending on the property location.

Morning Lake Photography

At approximately 7:00 AM, you may enjoy a confirmed boat safari, guided birdwatching activity or Crescent Island nature walk. Possible subjects include fish eagles, pelicans, cormorants, giraffes, zebras and antelopes. Boating remains subject to safe wind, weather and water conditions.

Long Journey to Amboseli

After breakfast and check-out, you will begin the long road transfer toward Amboseli. Lunch, refreshments and comfort stops will be included during the journey. Arrival at your premium lodge or luxury camp is expected in the late afternoon or early evening.

Elephant Families and Mountain Light

At around 6:00 AM, you will begin a morning game drive across Amboseli’s open plains, wetlands and acacia woodland. Your guide will search for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, predators and birds. Mount Kilimanjaro may provide a dramatic background when cloud conditions allow.

Wetlands and Evening Silhouettes

After breakfast, lunch and a midday lodge break, you will return for an afternoon safari at around 3:30 PM. The guide may explore wetland edges, elephant routes and open plains for reflections, dust and evening silhouettes. You will return for dinner at approximately 6:00 PM.

Final Sunrise Photography

At around 6:00 AM, you will enjoy a final morning drive through productive Amboseli habitats. The guide will search for elephant families, birds and wildlife not photographed during Day 9. You will return to the lodge at approximately 8:30–9:00 AM for breakfast.

Return to Nairobi

After breakfast and check-out, you will begin the road transfer to Nairobi. A lunch or refreshment stop may be arranged depending on traffic and the final drop-off location. Arrival is expected during the afternoon at your hotel, residence or airport-area accommodation.
