Explore Kenya on a 10-day premium road safari through Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Bogoria, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli.
Our 10-Day Premium Kenya Rift Valley & Savannah Road Expedition is created for travellers who want to experience Kenya’s wildlife, landscapes and changing countryside without using domestic flights. The journey begins with four nights in the Maasai Mara region, providing an arrival game drive and three full days for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs and other wildlife. From the Mara, you will travel through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru for rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes and lakeshore birdlife. Lake Bogoria adds geothermal landscapes, hot springs and seasonally changing flamingo concentrations before the route continues to Lake Naivasha for freshwater scenery and a confirmed nature activity. Amboseli completes the journey with large elephant families, wetlands, open plains and possible Mount Kilimanjaro views. A private safari vehicle, premium accommodation and planned meal and comfort stops make this a rewarding drive-in, drive-out Kenya experience.
Great Rift Valley Departure
At approximately 5:30 AM, our driver-guide will collect you from your Nairobi hotel, residence or agreed meeting point. You will travel privately through the Great Rift Valley and Narok toward the Maasai Mara, with breakfast, refreshments and a suitable comfort stop arranged. The guide will explain the changing highland, farming and pastoral landscapes along the route.
Afternoon Mara Wildlife Drive
You will arrive around lunchtime, check into your premium lodge or luxury tented camp and enjoy lunch. From approximately 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, you will complete your first game drive in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and plains wildlife. Dinner and overnight accommodation follow at the lodge or camp.
Sunrise Savannah Exploration
At around 6:00 AM, you will begin a full-day safari while temperatures are cooler and wildlife may be more active. Your guide will explore open plains, woodland and riverine habitats in search of predators, elephants and large herbivore groups. The private vehicle allows an unhurried pace and personal attention.
Picnic and Afternoon Game Drive
At approximately 12:30 PM, you will enjoy a packed picnic lunch at an authorised location inside the reserve. The afternoon safari continues through another wildlife area until around 5:30 PM. You will return to your premium accommodation for dinner and relaxation.
New Mara Wildlife Routes
At approximately 6:00 AM, you will return to the reserve and explore areas not fully covered during Day 2. Your guide will plan the route according to wildlife movement, road conditions and previous sightings. Possible encounters include lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and wildebeest.
Extended Afternoon Exploration
After lunch at around 12:30 PM, the game drive continues through open savannahs and river corridors. The additional safari day provides more time to observe animal behaviour rather than rushing between reported sightings. You will return to the lodge before dinner.
Final Complete Mara Search
At around 6:00 AM, you will begin your third complete Maasai Mara safari day. The guide may revisit productive predator territories or explore a different section of the ecosystem. Wildlife sightings, hunts and migration events remain natural and cannot be guaranteed.
Savannah Sunset Drive
Following a picnic lunch, the afternoon game drive continues until around 5:30 PM. You will search for wildlife not observed during the previous days and enjoy the wider Mara landscapes. Dinner and overnight rest follow at your premium camp or lodge.
Final Mara Departure
A short morning wildlife observation may be completed before breakfast when the accommodation location and confirmed programme permit. After breakfast, you will organise your luggage and complete check-out. The road journey then continues through Narok and the Great Rift Valley.
Premium Nakuru Arrival
Lunch, refreshments and comfort stops will be arranged during the transfer. You will arrive in the Lake Nakuru area during the afternoon and check into your premium accommodation. The remaining time is reserved for rest and preparation for the following morning’s game drive.
Morning Rhino Safari
At approximately 6:00 AM, you will enter Lake Nakuru National Park for an early wildlife drive. Your guide will search for black or white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, predators and lakeshore birds. Flamingo numbers vary according to water conditions and natural movement.
Transfer to Lake Bogoria
After breakfast and check-out, you will travel toward Lake Bogoria with lunch or refreshments arranged along the way. Arrival at your selected accommodation is expected during the afternoon. Dinner follows before an early night in preparation for the reserve visit.
Flamingos and Geothermal Features
At around 6:00 AM, you will explore safe and accessible areas of Lake Bogoria National Reserve. Possible highlights include flamingos, other waterbirds, hot springs, geysers and rugged Rift Valley landscapes. Visitors must follow the guide’s instructions around geothermal features.
Journey to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast or refreshments, you will travel toward Lake Naivasha and arrive during the afternoon. You will check into a premium lakeside lodge and enjoy the gardens, birdlife or peaceful freshwater scenery. Dinner follows at the property.
Morning Lakeside Nature Activity
At approximately 7:00 AM, you may enjoy a confirmed boat safari, guided birdwatching experience or Crescent Island nature walk. Possible sightings include fish eagles, pelicans, cormorants, giraffes, zebras and antelopes. Boating depends on safe weather, wind and water conditions.
Long Road Journey to Amboseli
After breakfast and check-out, you will begin the long private journey toward Amboseli. Lunch, refreshments and suitable comfort stops will be included. Arrival at your premium lodge or luxury tented camp is expected during the late afternoon or early evening.
Morning Elephant Country Drive
At around 6:00 AM, you will begin a game drive through Amboseli’s open plains, wetlands and acacia woodland. The guide will search for elephant families, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, predators and birds. Mount Kilimanjaro may appear when cloud conditions allow.
Afternoon Wetland Exploration
After breakfast, lunch and a midday break, you will return for an afternoon game drive at around 3:30 PM. The guide may explore wetland edges, elephant routes and open grazing plains. You will return at approximately 6:00 PM for dinner.
Final Morning Game Drive
At around 6:00 AM, you will enjoy a final safari through productive Amboseli habitats. The guide will search for elephant families, birds and wildlife missed during the previous day. You will return for breakfast at approximately 8:30–9:00 AM.
Return to Nairobi
After breakfast and check-out, you will begin the private road transfer to Nairobi. A lunch or refreshment stop may be arranged according to traffic and the final destination. Drop-off will be provided at your hotel, residence or airport-area accommodation.

The Booking Form
Explore Kenya on a 10-day premium road safari through Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Bogoria, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli.
N.B: After you send your booking we will get back to you with in 24 hours.
1. Why choose a road safari instead of a flying safari?
A road safari allows you to observe the changing landscapes, farms, towns and communities between the wildlife destinations. You will remain with the same private vehicle and driver-guide throughout the route, making communication and luggage handling easier. Road travel also avoids strict light-aircraft baggage limits. Several transfers are long, so guests should be comfortable spending substantial time inside the vehicle. Meal and comfort stops will be included at suitable places.
2. Is the safari vehicle private throughout the journey?
Yes, all road transfers and game drives are planned with a private safari vehicle unless the final confirmation states otherwise. No unrelated travellers will be added to the vehicle. This provides flexibility with seating, photography, comfort stops and wildlife-viewing time. Park opening hours, road conditions and lodge schedules must still be followed. The guide will explain the following day’s programme every evening.
3. Are all activities and park fees included?
Only activities and fees listed clearly in the confirmed quotation are included. The final package should specify accommodation, meals, park entrance fees and the selected Lake Naivasha activity. Optional cultural visits, private boats and additional nature walks may require separate payment. Park fees may vary according to nationality, residency and age. Guests should review the final inclusion list before confirming the safari.
4. Are the wildlife sightings guaranteed?
No animal, bird or natural behaviour can be guaranteed. Wildlife moves according to water, food, territory, weather and seasonal conditions. The guide will search suitable habitats and use local information responsibly. The five-destination route increases wildlife variety but does not create guarantees. Travellers should enjoy the complete journey rather than expect a fixed checklist.
5. Can this road itinerary be made slower?
Yes, extra nights can be added in the Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha or Amboseli. A slower route is useful for senior travellers, families or guests who prefer shorter daily transfers. Additional destinations such as Ol Pejeta, Lake Baringo or Tsavo may also be included. Extra days affect accommodation, transport and park-fee costs. Changes should be completed before the lodges are confirmed.
