Student Assembly and Briefing

At approximately 5:00 AM, students will meet at the confirmed school, university, hotel or assembly location. Teachers will complete attendance while our guide explains vehicle rules, the route and learning objectives. Luggage will be organised before departure.

Dryland Landscape Introduction

During the journey toward Samburu, the guide will introduce changes in vegetation, settlement, agriculture and climate. Breakfast and supervised comfort stops will be arranged. Students may record observations without distracting the driver or leaving the group.

Wildlife Adaptation Study

At around 6:00 AM, students will begin a game drive focused on dryland adaptation. The guide may use Grevy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes, gerenuks, oryx and elephants to explain feeding strategies, camouflage and water dependence. Wildlife availability will determine the examples used.

River Ecology and Conservation

After breakfast, lunch and a midday rest, the afternoon safari will explore areas near the Ewaso Nyiro River. Students can learn how water supports wildlife, vegetation and surrounding human activity. The group will return for dinner and a supervised learning review.

Landscape Comparison

After breakfast and supervised check-out, students will travel toward Lake Nakuru. The guide will explain changes in elevation, vegetation, agriculture and settlement during the road journey. Teachers may supervise field notes and group discussions.

Rift Valley Arrival

The group will arrive during the afternoon and receive room allocations at the premium accommodation. After rest, students may complete a short discussion comparing Samburu with the Great Rift Valley environment. Dinner follows under teacher supervision.

Rhino and Lakeshore Study

At around 6:00 AM, students will enter Lake Nakuru National Park. The guide will discuss rhino conservation, Rothschild’s giraffes, lakeshore birds and protected-area management. Flamingo abundance changes naturally and should not be treated as guaranteed.

Journey to Savannah Ecosystems

After breakfast and check-out, students will travel toward the Maasai Mara. Lunch and supervised comfort stops will be included. The guide will introduce the wider savannah ecosystem before late-afternoon arrival.

Predator and Herbivore Study

At around 6:00 AM, students will begin a full-day game drive focused on predator-prey relationships, camouflage, feeding and animal social structures. Real sightings will be used whenever available. Students must remain seated and follow all safety instructions.

Picnic Review and Conservation Learning

At approximately 12:30 PM, the group will enjoy a picnic lunch and review species lists or field assignments. The afternoon safari may cover migration, tourism, habitat use and conservation. The group returns for dinner and an academic discussion.

Habitat Comparison

At approximately 6:00 AM, students will explore another section of the Maasai Mara. The guide will compare open grassland, woodland and riverine environments. Students may record how vegetation and water influence wildlife distribution.

Wildlife Management Discussion

After lunch, the afternoon drive will focus on protected-area management, tourism and responsible wildlife viewing. Teachers may supervise observation notes and photography assignments. The group will return for dinner and a short learning review.

Final Savannah Summary

A short morning observation may be completed when the programme permits. The guide will review the main savannah concepts covered during the two full days. Teachers will supervise breakfast, room checks and luggage loading.

Freshwater Ecosystem Arrival

Students will travel toward Lake Naivasha and check into the selected accommodation during the afternoon. The guide may introduce freshwater habitats, waterbirds and surrounding land use. Dinner follows after a supervised rest period.

Freshwater Bird and Habitat Study

At approximately 7:00 AM, students may complete a confirmed boat safari, guided birdwatching activity or nature walk. The session may introduce fish eagles, waterbirds, lakeshore habitats and herbivores. All safety equipment and instructions must be followed.

Southern Kenya Journey

After breakfast and check-out, the group will travel toward Amboseli. Lunch, attendance checks and supervised comfort stops will be completed during the journey. Arrival is expected during the late afternoon or early evening.

Morning Elephant Study

At around 6:00 AM, students will begin a field drive focused on elephant family groups, communication, feeding and water dependence. The guide will also explain Amboseli’s wetlands and open-plains habitats. Kilimanjaro visibility depends on weather conditions.

Wildlife Corridors and Water Resources

After lunch and a midday rest, students will return for an afternoon game drive. Discussions may include water resources, wildlife corridors, livestock, tourism and conservation. Teachers may supervise final observation assignments

Final Field Review

At around 6:00 AM, students will complete a final game drive and review the major topics covered during the expedition. The guide will answer questions about ecology, wildlife behaviour, conservation and protected areas. The group returns for breakfast at approximately 9:00 AM.

Supervised Return Journey

After room checks, attendance and luggage loading, the group will depart for Nairobi. A supervised meal and comfort stop will be included. Final drop-off will be at the confirmed school, university or assembly location.
