10 Days Romantic Kenya Honeymoon Safari with Midrange Stays from Nairobi

Your romantic Kenya honeymoon safari begins with private pickup from your Nairobi hotel, residence or airport between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. After meeting our guide and discussing your preferred pace and any special honeymoon arrangements, you will begin the approximately 320-kilometre journey to Samburu. The road transfer normally takes 5½ to 6½ hours, passing through the central highlands, Mount Kenya region, Nanyuki and Isiolo. After arriving at your romantic midrange lodge or tented camp, you will enjoy lunch, room check-in and time to relax together. After breakfast, you will spend approximately 7 to 9 hours exploring Samburu and may cover between 60 and 120 kilometres. Our guide will search the Ewaso Nyiro River, dry bushland and rocky areas for elephants, lions, leopards and Samburu’s Special Five. Because your honeymoon safari can be operated privately, you will have greater flexibility to spend quiet time at sightings, stop for photographs and return to the lodge when you prefer. Lunch may be served at a scenic authorised picnic site or at the lodge. A sundowner, cake or private evening meal may be arranged at selected properties.

Following breakfast and check-out, your romantic journey continues approximately 275 to 300 kilometres to Lake Nakuru. The transfer normally takes 5 to 6½ hours, with comfortable washroom and refreshment stops. You will travel through central Kenya before descending into the Great Rift Valley and arriving at your midrange lodge for lunch and room check-in. Our guide will explore grasslands, river corridors and woodland while searching for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes and giraffes. A picnic lunch will be served at an authorised scenic location, allowing you to enjoy the wilderness together throughout the day. Your honeymoon continues with another complete Masai Mara experience, allowing you to visit quieter sections and wildlife areas that were not explored on the previous day. You may travel approximately 70 to 140 kilometres during 8 to 10 hours of private game viewing. Our guide may focus on predator territories, river areas and wide plains where you can enjoy wildlife without rushing. During migration periods, large herds may be present, although exact crossings cannot be guaranteed. A picnic lunch will be served before your final romantic evening in the Mara.
