Day 1: Gentle Journey from Nairobi to Amboseli

Our easy-paced Amboseli elders safari begins with collection from your Nairobi hotel, residence or the airport. You will travel in a private vehicle, allowing our guide to schedule convenient washroom, refreshment and stretching stops along the route. After arriving, you will check in at your selected midrange accommodation and have enough time for lunch and relaxation. Later, our safari enters Amboseli for a gentle afternoon game drive through accessible wildlife areas. You will remain comfortably seated while observing elephant families, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, gazelles and wetland birds. Our guide will avoid unnecessary rushing and adjust the viewing time to your comfort.

Day 2: Relaxed Amboseli Wildlife Experience – Nairobi

After breakfast at the midrange lodge, you will begin an extended but flexible game drive across Amboseli’s plains and wetland habitats. Our guide will search for elephants, hippos, antelopes and possible predators while providing clear explanations and plenty of time for photography. Mount Kilimanjaro may appear behind the park when weather conditions are favourable. Visiting Observation Hill is optional because it requires climbing steps; guests may remain near the vehicle instead. After a picnic lunch and the final wildlife-viewing session, you will travel back to Nairobi with suitable comfort stops along the way.

1. How is the itinerary adjusted for older travellers?

The tour uses a private vehicle, allows additional rest stops, avoids compulsory walking and maintains a flexible game-drive pace.

2. Are the roads inside Amboseli uncomfortable?

Some tracks can be dusty or uneven. Our guide will drive carefully and select smoother routes whenever wildlife movements and park conditions permit.

3. Can we request a vehicle with easier access?

Yes. Please explain any knee, hip or mobility difficulties before booking so that the most suitable available vehicle can be considered.

4. Is a portable step available for entering the vehicle?

A portable step can be requested in advance to make vehicle entry and exit easier.

5. Are toilets available during game drives?

Facilities are available at selected locations rather than everywhere in the park. Our guide will plan suitable stops whenever possible.

6. Can guests skip part of a game drive?

Yes. A guest may return to or remain at the lodge if they need additional rest, subject to the private vehicle arrangement.

7. Can oxygen or medical equipment be carried?

Portable personal equipment may be carried if it fits safely in the vehicle. Guests needing medical supervision should travel with a qualified caregiver.

8. How should medication be packed?

Medication should remain in clearly labelled hand luggage, together with prescriptions and any required medical information. Do not pack essential medicine in inaccessible luggage.

9. Is the lodge quiet at night?

A quiet room can be requested, although location and noise levels depend on the selected midrange property and other guests.
