Plan a 2-day Amboseli luxury family safari from Nairobi with private transport, child-friendly game drives and comfortable family accommodation.
Introduce your family to Kenya’s wildlife on this private 2-day luxury Amboseli family safari from Nairobi. The journey is designed for parents, children and multigenerational families seeking a short but rewarding wildlife holiday with comfortable accommodation. Private transport allows your guide to adjust comfort stops and the pace of the game drives to suit the family. Children can learn about elephants, food chains, animal tracks, wetland habitats and conservation through age-appropriate explanations. Family rooms, interconnected accommodation, early meals and dietary arrangements can be requested in advance. Every wildlife encounter occurs naturally, giving children an exciting and authentic introduction to the African bush.
Our guide will collect your family at approximately 6:30 a.m. from a Nairobi hotel, residence or confirmed meeting location. After luggage loading, seat checks and a child-friendly safety briefing, you will begin the journey to Amboseli. The drive normally takes four and a half to five and a half hours, with planned restroom and refreshment stops to keep everyone comfortable. Upon arrival at your luxury lodge, our team will assist with check-in and the confirmed family room allocation. You will enjoy lunch and relaxation before leaving for an afternoon game drive at approximately 3:30 p.m. Our guide will help children recognise elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest and birds while answering their questions in an engaging way. The family will return to the lodge around 6:30 p.m. for dinner and overnight.
An optional family wake-up call will be arranged for approximately 5:45 a.m., followed by tea, coffee or a light drink before the morning drive begins at around 6:15 a.m. Early hours can offer comfortable temperatures and changing animal activity. Our guide will keep the experience lively without overwhelming younger travellers and will make reasonable stops for photographs, questions and wildlife observation. If children become tired, the private arrangement provides some flexibility to return earlier. At approximately 9:00 a.m., you will return for breakfast and prepare for check-out at around 10:30 a.m. The road journey to Nairobi includes a lunch and comfort stop, with arrival generally between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Your family will be dropped at a hotel, residence or airport when sufficient flight connection time is available.
