RELATED FAQS ABOUT 2 Days Amboseli New Year Wildlife Escape – Midrange Celebration

    1. Is the package limited to 31 December and 1 January?

Those are the recommended dates, but the safari can also operate immediately before or after New Year.

    2. What type of countdown should we expect?

The celebration depends on the selected midrange lodge and may range from a quiet dinner to music and a group countdown.

    3. Can we request a quiet lodge without a party?

Yes. Guests who prefer a peaceful New Year can request accommodation with a quieter programme, subject to availability.

    4. Will we still start early after the countdown?

The start can be adjusted slightly, but guests hoping for active wildlife and clearer Kilimanjaro views should avoid staying up too late.

    5. Are Park entry fees higher on New Year’s Day?

The applicable park fees are based on official categories and validity periods. Any festive lodge supplements are quoted separately.

    6. Can children remain awake for the lodge celebration?

This is a parental decision, but lodge rules and noise considerations must be respected. Family-friendly arrangements should be requested early.

    7. Are personal fireworks permitted?

No personal fireworks should be used in or near the protected area. Noise and fire can disturb wildlife and create serious safety risks.

    8. Can we order a bottle for the midnight toast?

Yes. Wine, sparkling wine or non-alcoholic alternatives can be requested from the lodge, normally at an additional charge.

    9. Can we change the Nairobi return to another destination?

Yes. Instead of returning to Nairobi, the safari can continue toward Tsavo, Mombasa or another agreed destination.

    10. Is a deposit required to secure the New Year package?

Yes. A deposit is normally required because festive-season rooms and vehicles are in high demand. The amount will be stated in the quotation.

Clouds covered the mountain on New Year’s Eve, but the sky cleared the next morning. Seeing Kilimanjaro above elephants and green wetlands felt like the perfect reward for waking up early. Our guide gave us plenty of time to enjoy and photograph the scene.
