Explore Amboseli on a 2-day wildlife safari with private game drives, elephants, Kilimanjaro scenery and comfortable midrange accommodation.
Discover Kenya’s celebrated elephant country on this private 2-day Amboseli Wildlife Explorer with midrange accommodation and road transport from Nairobi. Our safari takes you through open plains, permanent wetlands and acacia habitats where you will search for elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos and abundant birdlife, while enjoying attentive guiding and the comfort of a well-selected midrange lodge.
Our Amboseli Wildlife Explorer begins when our guide collects you from your preferred Nairobi location. You will travel through the countryside toward the plains below Mount Kilimanjaro, with suitable stops arranged during the journey. After arriving at your midrange accommodation, you will check in, enjoy lunch and have time to refresh. In the afternoon, our safari enters Amboseli National Park and follows wildlife tracks through open grasslands and marsh areas. You will look for large elephant families, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests and gazelles while our guide explains how water from the Kilimanjaro ecosystem supports life in this otherwise dry environment.
You will begin the day with breakfast before setting out for an extended game drive through Amboseli’s contrasting habitats. Our guide will follow recent wildlife movements and explore areas that may reveal elephants feeding near the wetlands, hippos resting in water, predators watching the plains and raptors circling overhead. When conditions permit, you will enjoy views of Mount Kilimanjaro and may visit Observation Hill for a broad perspective of the ecosystem. After a picnic lunch, our safari continues with a final search for wildlife before leaving Amboseli for the return journey to Nairobi.
