Nairobi to Lake Nakuru – Family Afternoon Game Drive

Our guide will meet your family at your Nairobi hotel or residence at approximately 7:30 a.m. After luggage assistance and a short safari briefing, you will begin the drive of around 160 kilometres to Lake Nakuru. The journey usually takes three and a half to four hours, and comfort stops can be included according to the children’s needs. Your family may pause at a Rift Valley viewpoint before continuing to the lodge for check-in and lunch. There will be time for children and adults to rest before the afternoon game drive begins at approximately 3:30 p.m. Our guide will introduce the park through simple stories, animal signs and interesting facts while searching for rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, baboons and birds. The family will return to the lodge at around 6:30 p.m. for dinner and a relaxed evening.

Day 2: Morning Wildlife Discovery – Nairobi Drop-Off

Morning Wildlife Discovery – Nairobi Drop-Off

The family will wake at approximately 6:00 a.m. and enjoy a light drink or snack before setting out for a morning game drive. Cooler conditions can provide comfortable wildlife viewing and an opportunity to see different animal activity from the previous afternoon. Our guide will adapt the pace to your family, allowing time for questions, photographs and short breaks when appropriate. After exploring the park for approximately two and a half to three hours, you will return to the lodge for a full breakfast. The family can freshen up, collect luggage and check out at around 10:30 a.m. You will then drive back to Nairobi with lunch and comfort stops along the route. Arrival is expected between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m., with drop-off at your Nairobi hotel, home or the airport subject to flight time.
