2 Days Luxury Amboseli New Year Safari Beneath Kilimanjaro

Our guide will collect you in Nairobi at approximately 6:30 a.m. and assist with your luggage before beginning the 230–250-kilometre journey to Amboseli. The drive generally requires four and a half to five and a half hours, with a scheduled comfort and refreshment stop. You will reach your luxury lodge around lunchtime, complete check-in and enjoy lunch before resting. At approximately 3:30 p.m., you will begin the final afternoon game drive of the year. Our guide will search Amboseli’s plains and wetlands for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, birds and predators. After photographing the last safari sunset of the year, you will return at around 6:30 p.m. for dinner and the lodge’s confirmed New Year programme, which may include entertainment or a quieter celebration.

You will begin the New Year with tea or coffee at approximately 5:45 a.m. before departing for the year’s first game drive at around 6:15 a.m. The early light can create beautiful views across the plains, while clear conditions may reveal Mount Kilimanjaro beyond Amboseli’s wildlife. Our guide will search for fresh animal activity and allow time for photographs and personal reflection. You will return to the lodge at approximately 9:00 a.m. for a relaxed New Year breakfast, then freshen up and check out by around 10:30 a.m. The return journey includes a lunch or refreshment stop, with Nairobi arrival expected between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Drop-off will be arranged at your hotel, residence or airport when the flight schedule permits.
