2 Days Luxury Lake Nakuru Culture and Wildlife Tour

You will depart Nairobi at approximately 7:00 a.m. with our private guide and travel about 160 kilometres toward Lake Nakuru. The drive takes approximately three and a half to four hours, depending on traffic and planned stops. As you cross the Great Rift Valley, our guide will share background about the region’s geography, communities, food traditions and changing way of life. You will arrive at your luxury lodge for check-in, lunch and relaxation before entering Lake Nakuru National Park at approximately 3:30 p.m. During the afternoon drive, you will explore woodland, grassland and lakeshore environments while looking for rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and birds. Our guide will connect wildlife conservation with the lives of communities around protected areas. You will return to the lodge around sunset for dinner and overnight.

Your day begins at approximately 6:00 a.m. with tea or coffee followed by a morning game drive. Our guide will search for wildlife while explaining how conservation, tourism and community livelihoods influence one another. After two and a half to three hours in the park, you will return to the lodge for breakfast and check out at around 10:30 a.m. Subject to prior confirmation and community availability, the return programme may include a responsibly managed cultural visit, local storytelling session or craft stop. You will be encouraged to ask questions respectfully and request permission before photographing people. After the cultural experience, you will enjoy lunch and continue to Nairobi, normally arriving between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. Drop-off will be provided at an agreed Nairobi hotel, residence or airport when timing allows.
