Book a 2-Day Maasai Mara Luxury Cultural Safari with private wildlife drives, a respectful Maasai community experience and premium accommodation.
Discover both wildlife and cultural heritage on this 2-Day Maasai Mara Luxury Cultural Safari from Nairobi. Your journey includes private game drives across the reserveβs famous grasslands, where you will search for lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, wildebeest and other animals. The experience can also include a respectfully organised visit to a local Maasai community, offering an opportunity to learn about traditional homesteads, clothing, livestock, ceremonies and the changing relationship between pastoral communities and conservation. After each activity, you will return to a selected luxury lodge or tented camp where excellent hospitality and peaceful savannah surroundings complete the safari.
You will be collected from Nairobi and driven through the scenic Great Rift Valley toward the Maasai Mara ecosystem. After arriving at your luxury lodge or tented camp, you will check in, enjoy lunch and relax before the afternoon game drive. Our guide will introduce you to the reserve’s wildlife, landscapes and conservation story as you search for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras and antelopes. You will also begin learning about the Maasai communities that have lived alongside this ecosystem for generations. As evening approaches, you will return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.
You will start with an early morning game drive across the open plains, taking advantage of the cooler conditions and increased wildlife activity. After breakfast and check-out, you may visit a responsibly selected Maasai community, where local hosts will introduce aspects of their traditions, livestock culture, homestead structure and everyday life. You will have an opportunity to ask respectful questions, view locally made crafts and learn how tourism and conservation affect surrounding communities. After the cultural experience, you will begin the return journey to Nairobi, with lunch arranged along the way and drop-off at your preferred location.
