Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli – Introduction to the Ecosystem

Our Kenya students safari begins with an organised morning departure from Nairobi under the supervision of teachers, lecturers or appointed group leaders. During the journey, our guide will introduce the geography of southern Kenya and explain how water, climate and human activity influence the Amboseli ecosystem. After reaching the selected midrange accommodation, students will check in, have lunch and receive a safari safety briefing. The afternoon field tour will focus on identifying animals, observing habitats and recording behaviour. Students may see elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests and birds while learning about feeding strategies, adaptations and relationships within the food web.

Day 2: Amboseli Conservation Field Study – Nairobi

After breakfast, students will begin an extended field study across Amboseli’s wetlands and open plains. Our guide will encourage supervised note-taking, photography and discussion while explaining elephant social structure, wetland ecology, seasonal wildlife movement and conservation challenges. Depending on the academic level, students may complete species checklists, habitat comparisons or short group assignments. A designated picnic location will be used for lunch and discussion before the final observation session. Our safari will then return the group to the agreed drop-off point in Nairobi.
