A wider lens can capture landscapes, large elephant groups and environmental photographs featuring Mount Kilimanjaro. No. The mountain’s visibility depends on clouds, weather, humidity and atmospheric conditions. Early mornings can provide good opportunities, but a clear Kilimanjaro view cannot be guaranteed. You may bring compact support equipment, but large tripods can be difficult to use inside a safari vehicle. A monopod or photography beanbag is often more practical when working through a window or raised roof. Please advise us if you will carry especially large equipment.

Wear comfortable neutral-coloured clothing, closed shoes, a hat and sun protection. A light jacket is useful during the early-morning drive. Amboseli can become dry and dusty, so a scarf, lens cloth and protective camera cover are also recommended.

Game drives generally continue during light or moderate rain when park roads remain safe. Rain may produce dramatic skies, reflections and unusual wildlife behaviour. Our driver-guide may adjust the route if some roads become inaccessible or if visibility is poor.
