Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru
Rift Valley Heritage Journey
At approximately 7:00 a.m. in Nairobi, our tour driver will collect you for the 160–175-kilometre journey to Lake Nakuru. The drive takes around 3.5–4 hours and includes changing scenery as you descend into the Great Rift Valley. Our guide will introduce the region’s geography, settlement history and local livelihoods during the journey.
Hosted Cultural Encounter
At approximately 10:30 a.m. at the confirmed Rift Valley cultural location, you will meet local hosts and learn about their crafts, food traditions, stories or community initiatives. The exact activity and location will be confirmed before departure because arrangements differ between community partners. You will then continue to your premium accommodation for lunch and check-in.
Afternoon Wildlife Safari
At approximately 3:00 p.m. inside Lake Nakuru National Park, you will begin an afternoon game drive through grasslands, woodland and lakeshore habitats. Our guide will search for rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and birdlife while explaining local conservation efforts. You will return to the lodge at around 6:00 p.m. for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Nairobi
Sunrise Nature Experience
At approximately 6:00 a.m. inside Lake Nakuru National Park, your morning game drive will focus on active wildlife and the changing Rift Valley landscape. You may encounter rhinos, antelopes, baboons and numerous birds as the park awakens. Our guide will connect the wildlife experience with the region’s broader conservation story.
Breakfast and Cultural Reflection
At around 8:30 a.m. at your lodge, you will enjoy breakfast and have time to discuss the previous day’s cultural and wildlife experiences. Check-out will take place at approximately 10:00 a.m. Our tour driver will ensure that your luggage and any legitimately purchased crafts are safely packed.
Return to Nairobi
At approximately 10:30 a.m. from Lake Nakuru, our journey back to Nairobi will begin. The 160–175-kilometre drive normally takes 3.5–4 hours and may include a lunch or craft-shopping stop at an established location. Arrival in Nairobi is expected between 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
