Our 2-Day Premium Maasai Mara Family Safari from Nairobi is designed for parents, children and multigenerational families seeking a short but memorable wildlife experience. The road journey covers approximately 260–280 kilometres and normally takes five and a half to six and a half hours, with comfort stops arranged according to family needs. You will travel privately, allowing greater flexibility with seating, snacks, breaks and game-drive duration. After arriving at a family-friendly premium lodge or camp, you will enjoy lunch and an afternoon safari in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest and birds. The following morning includes another wildlife drive before breakfast and the return to Nairobi. Our guide will use engaging, age-appropriate explanations about animal families, tracks, feeding behaviour and conservation.

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara Family Adventure

Nairobi to Maasai Mara Family Adventure

Family Pickup

At approximately 5:30 AM, our driver-guide will collect your family from the agreed Nairobi location and assist with luggage, seating and any pre-booked child seat.

Family Road Journey

Between 6:00 AM and 11:30 AM, you will travel through the Great Rift Valley and Narok County with a suitable breakfast or comfort stop. Our guide will keep the journey engaging by explaining the changing landscapes.

Family Camp Arrival

At around 12:00 PM, you will check into the confirmed family room, connecting rooms or tent arrangement. Lunch will be followed by enough rest time for adults and children.

Child-Friendly Game Drive

From approximately 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, our guide will search for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras and buffaloes. Children will receive simple explanations about tracks, feeding habits and animal groups.

Early Family Safari

At around 6:00 AM, your family will enter the reserve for a cooler morning game drive. The guide will keep the pace manageable while searching for active wildlife.

Breakfast and Family Check-Out

At approximately 9:15 AM, you will return for breakfast and organise children’s belongings, snacks and luggage.

Comfortable Nairobi Return

From around 10:30 AM, the family will travel through Narok toward Nairobi. A suitable lunch or comfort stop will be arranged before drop-off.
