This 2-day Premium New Year safari from Nairobi invites you to begin the year with wildlife, scenic landscapes and refined lodge comfort at Lake Nakuru National Park. The drive covers approximately 160–175 kilometres each way and normally takes 3.5–4 hours through Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. You will enjoy an afternoon game drive, a premium overnight stay and an early-morning safari before returning to Nairobi. Any special New Year dinner, toast or lodge celebration must be confirmed according to the selected property’s festive programme. Surrounded by rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, flamingos and beautiful Rift Valley scenery, couples, families and friends can welcome the year with a meaningful Kenya safari experience.
New Year Journey
At approximately 7:00 a.m. in Nairobi, our tour driver will collect you from your confirmed hotel, residence or airport. Your 160–175-kilometre journey takes around 3.5–4 hours and can include a Great Rift Valley scenic stop.
Premium Festive Welcome
At approximately 11:30 a.m. in the Lake Nakuru area, you will check in at your selected premium lodge or luxury camp. Lunch is planned for around 12:30 p.m., followed by relaxation and preparation for the afternoon safari.
Final Safari of the Year
At approximately 3:00 p.m. inside Lake Nakuru National Park, you will explore lakeshore and woodland habitats while searching for rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and birds. You will return at around 6:00 p.m. for dinner and any pre-confirmed New Year programme.
First Sunrise Safari
At approximately 6:00 a.m. inside Lake Nakuru National Park, you will begin the year with a peaceful sunrise game drive. Our guide will search for active wildlife while you enjoy fresh morning air and beautiful photography conditions.
New Year Breakfast
At around 8:30 a.m. at the lodge, you will enjoy breakfast and share the morning’s highlights. Check-out is scheduled for approximately 10:00 a.m., followed by luggage assistance.
New Year Return to Nairobi
At approximately 10:30 a.m. from Lake Nakuru, you will begin the return journey. An optional lunch stop can be arranged before drop-off at your Nairobi hotel, residence or airport between approximately 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

1. Can the safari operate over New Year?
Yes, subject to park arrangements, lodge availability and early confirmation of all festive reservations.
2. Is a New Year celebration included?
Any dinner, countdown event or toast depends on the selected lodge’s programme and must be confirmed in writing.
3. Will there be fireworks?
Fireworks should not be expected inside wildlife areas. The priority is maintaining a peaceful environment for animals and guests.
4. Should we reserve early?
Yes. Premium accommodation and safari vehicles are in high demand during the festive season.
5. Are festive supplements charged?
Lodges may apply New Year supplements. The final quotation will show all confirmed seasonal costs
6. Is the package suitable for couples?
Yes. Private transportation, romantic lodge arrangements and a special dinner may be requested.
7. Can families with children book?
Yes. Family rooms and child-friendly meals can be requested, subject to availability.
8. What wildlife might we see?
Lake Nakuru supports rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, baboons, antelopes, possible predators and abundant birdlife.
9. Can pickup be arranged after a late flight?
Pickup timing depends on the itinerary and your arrival time. An additional Nairobi night may be recommended after a late flight.
