Begin your journey in Zanzibar with a scenic flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport (approx. 1 hour 15 minutes). On arrival, transfer about 70 km (?1.5 hours) to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s safari circuit. Check into your luxury lodge, enjoy refreshments, and meet your professional safari guide for a short briefing. In the evening, relax over dinner and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire – Full Day Game Drive – Transfer to Lake Manyara

Depart early in the morning (around 6:30 AM) and drive approximately 120 km (~2.5 hours) to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, majestic baobab trees, and expansive savannahs. Embark on a full-day game drive covering 50–60 km, spotting lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and over 550 bird species. Stop for a picnic lunch near the Tarangire River, with wildlife all around. In the late afternoon, drive approximately 90 km (~2 hours) to Lake Manyara, where your luxury lodge awaits with panoramic views of the lake and escarpment. Enjoy a gourmet dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Manyara – Full Day Game Drive – Return to Arusha

Enjoy lunch at the lodge or picnic area before departing for Arusha (~120 km / 2.5 hours). The scenic route passes through highlands, traditional Maasai villages, and dramatic landscapes. Arrive at your Arusha lodge for refreshments and a farewell dinner celebrating your northern Tanzania safari adventure.

Departure Day: Arusha to Kilimanjaro Airport

1. How do I get from Zanzibar to the safari parks for a 2-day trip?

The most efficient way is via a domestic flight from Zanzibar (ZNZ) to Arusha (ARK) or Manyara Airstrip. Our luxury package includes return flight tickets and "meet and greet" services at both airports to ensure a seamless transition from the beach to the bush.

2. What time does the flight leave Zanzibar?

To maximize your time in the wild, we typically book the early morning flight (around 07:00 AM or 08:00 AM). You will be in Tarangire National Park in time for a mid-morning game drive and a luxury bush lunch

3. Is it possible to see the Big Five in just two days starting from Zanzibar?

While you are almost guaranteed to see elephants, lions, buffaloes, and leopards, the rhino is not resident in these two parks. However, the sheer density of wildlife in Tarangire and Manyara offers a world-class safari experience in a short timeframe

4. Are airport transfers in Zanzibar included in the luxury package?

Yes. A private luxury vehicle will pick you up from your hotel in Zanzibar (Nungwi, Kendwa, Paje, etc.) and take you to the airport, and will be waiting for you upon your return the following day.

5. What should I pack for a 2-day safari coming from a beach holiday?

Since you are coming from a warm island, remember that early mornings on safari can be chilly. Pack a light jacket, long trousers, comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunblock, and your camera gear.

6. Can I leave my main luggage in Zanzibar?

Yes. Most guests leave their heavy suitcases at their Zanzibar hotel and travel to the mainland with only a small "safari duffel bag." This is also recommended due to weight restrictions on small domestic aircraft
