N.B: After you send your booking we will get back to you with in 24 hours.
1. Is February a good month for a luxury safari in these parks?
February is excellent. It falls during the short dry spell between the rainy seasons, offering beautiful sunny days, emerald-green landscapes, and incredible birdwatching opportunities.
2. What is the weather typically like in February?
Expect warm and clear days with temperatures ranging from 25°C to 30°C. It is one of the warmest months, making the luxury swimming pools at our partner lodges a very welcome feature after a game drive.
3. Will we see many migratory birds in Lake Manyara during February?
Yes! February is peak season for Palearctic migrants. You can expect to see a staggering variety of species, including flamingos, storks, and pelicans, many of which are in their stunning breeding plumage.
4. Can we see "The Big Five" during a 2-day February trip?
You have a high probability of seeing four of the five (Elephants, Lions, Leopards, and Buffaloes). In February, the thinning grass makes predators easier to spot than in the height of the rainy season
5. How is the dust situation in February?
Because of the recent short rains in December/January, the ground is still relatively firm and the air is clear. This means significantly less dust than in August, which is great for both comfort and camera maintenance.
6. Does the luxury vehicle have cooling facilities for the February heat?
Absolutely. Our luxury 4x4 Land Cruisers feature internal climate control and a high-end refrigerator stocked with chilled premium water, soft drinks, and fresh juices to keep you cool
7. Is Tarangire worth visiting in February?
Definitely. While some herds disperse, Tarangire's resident elephant population remains high. The sight of massive elephants beneath the leafy, green Baobab trees is a unique February highlight.
8. What kind of clothing should I pack for February?
Lightweight, breathable cotton or linen clothing is best. Since it is warm, you won't need heavy jackets, but a light sweater is recommended for the early morning breeze in the open-roof vehicle
9. Are there many insects or mosquitoes in February?
The green environment does attract insects. However, our luxury lodges provide mosquito netting and high-quality repellents. Our vehicles are also treated to ensure a comfortable, pest-free environment.
10. Is February considered a "Peak Season" for booking?
It is considered "High Season" due to the calving season in the nearby Serengeti. We recommend booking at least 4 to 6 months in advance to secure the most exclusive luxury lodges.
