Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire – Full Day Game Drive – Lake Manyara

Depart Arusha early at around 6:30 AM for Tarangire National Park, located 120 km (2.5 hours) away. Embark on a full-day game drive covering 50–60 km, exploring iconic baobab-studded landscapes. January is ideal for spotting large herds of elephants (often 50+ at a time), lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and hippos. Birdwatchers will delight with over 500 species, including lilac-breasted rollers, African fish eagles, and malachite kingfishers.
