Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire – Full Day Game Drive To Lake Manyara

Start your journey from Arusha at 6:30 AM with a scenic 120 km (about 2.5 hours) drive to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a full-day game drive across its iconic baobab-dotted plains, where March brings the park to life with large elephant herds of 50–70, prides of lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and hippos. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted by over 550 species, including lilac-breasted rollers, African fish eagles, and grey-crowned cranes. Pause for a relaxing picnic lunch by the Tarangire River, watching animals gather to drink.
