Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire – Full Day Game Drive to Lake Manyara

Depart Arusha at 6:30 AM and drive 120 km / 2 hours 30 minutes to Tarangire National Park. Embark on a full-day game drive covering 55 km, traversing the park’s baobab-studded landscapes. In May, the park is vibrant with elephant herds of 50–80, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and hippos. Birdwatchers can spot over 550 species, including lilac-breasted rollers, African fish eagles, and grey-crowned cranes. Stop for a picnic lunch by the Tarangire River, observing animals coming to drink.
