Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire – Full Day Game Drive to Lake Manyara
Depart Arusha at 6:30 AM for a drive (120 km / approx. 2 hours 30 minutes) to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park’s baobab-dotted landscapes, with excellent chances of seeing elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and hippos. November’s green season also offers great birdwatching, with species such as lilac-breasted rollers, African fish eagles, and grey-crowned cranes. Stop for a picnic lunch near the Tarangire River, where animals often gather to drink. In the afternoon, proceed to the Lake Manyara area (90 km / approx. 2 hours). Check into a comfortable luxury lodge, enjoy dinner, and take in views of the lake, often dotted with flamingos and other waterbirds.
