Your guide will collect you from Arusha after breakfast and provide a personalized introduction to the March itinerary. The private vehicle offers comfortable seating, flexible refreshment stops and space for photography equipment. The route travels through the Ngorongoro highlands toward the southern Serengeti ecosystem. Your guide will explain how seasonal rain changes wildlife movement and road conditions.

Entering the Green Plains

March can transform Ndutu into a vivid landscape of fresh grass, temporary wetlands and dramatic cloud formations. Wildebeest and zebra groups may remain in the ecosystem with young calves following their mothers. Giraffes, elephants and seasonal birds may also appear along the final section of the route. Your guide will select accessible game-drive areas using current wildlife information.

Afternoon Young-Herd Safari

The first game drive searches for moving herds, young wildebeest and predators across the green plains. Cheetahs may use open areas, while lions and spotted hyenas can remain near wildebeest groups. Occasional showers may create beautiful light and vivid landscape colors. You will later arrive at a luxury lodge or premium tented camp for a comfortable evening.

Morning Herd Search

After breakfast, your private guide returns to the plains during the cooler morning hours. Young wildebeest may be stronger and more mobile than newborn calves but still travel closely beside their mothers. Fresh tracks, rainfall patterns and guide reports will determine the route. The private arrangement allows flexible movement between productive areas.

Seasonal Lakes and Birdlife

The safari may include Lake Ndutu, Lake Masek, acacia woodland or open grassland when road conditions permit. Seasonal water can attract raptors, storks and other water-associated birds. Elephants, giraffes and smaller predators may add variety to the migration experience. Your guide will avoid roads that become unsafe after heavy rainfall.

Premium Picnic and Predator Search

A luxury picnic will be enjoyed at an authorized location during the full-day game drive. The afternoon may focus on cheetahs, lions, spotted hyenas or dramatic landscape photography. March can occasionally provide quieter game-drive routes than peak February periods. You will return to the premium property before evening.

Morning Departure from Ndutu

After an early breakfast, the safari leaves Ndutu and begins travelling toward the crater highlands. Wildlife sightings along the route may be included when timing and safety permit. The green plains gradually give way to elevated scenery and cooler temperatures. Your guide will manage the transfer carefully to maximize the crater experience.

Half-Day Crater Safari

The vehicle descends into Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive through grassland, forest and wetland habitats. Lions, buffaloes, elephants, wildebeest, zebras, hippos and hyenas may be observed. Black rhinoceros can occasionally be visible in open areas but cannot be guaranteed. A picnic lunch may be enjoyed at an authorized location before leaving the crater.

Return to Arusha

After ascending the crater wall, your private safari continues toward Arusha. The highland scenery provides a peaceful conclusion to the green-season journey. Comfortable refreshment and rest stops will be included. Your guide will drop you at the selected hotel during the evening.
