Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park (Drive-In and Afternoon Game Drive)
Our experienced local driver-guide will welcome you at your hotel, residence, airport or another confirmed location in Dar es Salaam between 5:00 and 5:30 a.m. After assisting with your luggage and providing a short introduction, the guide will begin the drive-in journey to Mikumi National Park.
Travel west through Chalinze and Morogoro while observing towns, farming communities and the slopes of the Uluguru Mountains. Breakfast, washroom and refreshment stops will be arranged at suitable establishments. Arrival near Mikumi National Park is expected at approximately 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch and park-entry preparations.
Enter Mikumi National Park at around 1:30 p.m. and begin the afternoon game drive across the Mkata Floodplain. Search for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas and lions. Complete the drive at approximately 6:00 p.m. and continue by road to your midrange lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Mikumi National Park (Full-Day Game Drive)
Following an early breakfast at your midrange lodge, depart at approximately 6:30 a.m. with drinking water and a packed lunch. Drive back into Mikumi National Park for a full day of wildlife viewing.
Explore the Mkata Floodplain, acacia woodland and seasonal water sources. Possible sightings include elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, greater kudus and elands. Predators may include lions, leopards and spotted hyenas. African wild dogs inhabit the wider ecosystem, although encounters are uncommon.
Visit the Hippo Pool to watch hippos, crocodiles and waterbirds from the designated viewing area. Enjoy your packed lunch at an authorised picnic site before continuing the afternoon drive. Leave the park at approximately 5:30–6:00 p.m. and return to your midrange lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Mikumi National Park to Dar es Salaam (Morning Game Drive and Drive-Out)
Begin the final day with breakfast before checking out of your midrange lodge at approximately 6:30 a.m. Re-enter Mikumi National Park for a morning game drive while temperatures remain cool and animals are often more active.
Explore an accessible section of the Mkata Floodplain or revisit an area where rewarding wildlife was observed the previous day. Search for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes and predators before leaving the national park at approximately 10:00 a.m.
Begin the drive-out journey through Morogoro and Chalinze toward Dar es Salaam. Stop for lunch, refreshments and personal comfort along the route. Arrival is expected between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. Our driver-guide will drop you off at your hotel, residence, airport or another agreed location.
