3 Days Midrange New Year Safari Offer in Samburu Kenya

Our midrange New Year safari begins with collection from your Nairobi hotel before travelling approximately 320–350 km to Samburu National Reserve. The road journey takes about 6–7 hours and passes through fertile highland farmland, rural settlements and dry northern scrub before entering the reserve’s acacia woodland and open savannah. After checking into your midrange lodge or tented camp, our guide will take you on a 2–3-hour afternoon game drive in search of elephants, Grevy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes, gerenuks and big cats. You will return for dinner and the lodge’s available New Year programme.

You will welcome the day with a 3–4-hour morning game drive through dry grassland, rocky outcrops, acacia bush and Ewaso Ng’iro riverine forest. Our guide will search for the Samburu Special Five, elephants, predators and colourful northern birds. After returning for breakfast, lunch and relaxation at your midrange accommodation, our safari continues with another approximately 3-hour afternoon drive through doum-palm groves and open savannah. The two drives may cover around 50–80 km, depending on wildlife movements and track conditions.

Your final morning includes a 2–3-hour game drive covering approximately 20–35 km through open grassland, acacia woodland and riverine vegetation. Our guide will revisit productive wildlife areas and help you begin the year with memorable photographs and sightings. After breakfast, you will travel approximately 320–350 km back to Nairobi. The return drive normally takes 6–7 hours through northern scrubland, green highlands and agricultural countryside.
