3 Days Nairobi to Samburu Midrange Honeymoon Safari

Our guide will collect you from your Nairobi hotel for the beginning of your private Samburu honeymoon safari. You will travel approximately 320–350 km in about 6–7 hours, passing through fertile highland farmland, scenic countryside and dry northern scrub before reaching Samburu’s open savannah and acacia woodland. After lunch and check-in at your selected midrange lodge or tented camp, you will begin a relaxed 2–3-hour afternoon game drive. Our safari will introduce you to elephants, reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, gerenuks and other wildlife as you enjoy the warm evening colours together.

You will start the day with a private 3–4-hour morning game drive through semi-arid grassland, thorny acacia bush and the riverine vegetation surrounding the Ewaso Ng’iro River. Our guide will search for lions, leopards, elephants and the Samburu Special Five while giving you enough time for photographs and quiet moments together. After breakfast and lunch at the lodge, you will enjoy another 3-hour afternoon game drive through doum-palm groves, open plains and rocky landscapes. Approximately 50–80 km may be covered during the two drives, depending on animal movements, road conditions and your preferred safari pace.

You will share one final sunrise experience during a 2–3-hour morning game drive covering approximately 20–35 km through Samburu’s acacia woodland, open bushland and riverine forest. Our guide will search for animals gathering near the river and predators returning from their nighttime activities. After breakfast, you will check out and travel approximately 320–350 km back to Nairobi. The 6–7-hour journey passes from the dry northern landscape into the greener agricultural highlands, with drop-off at your Nairobi hotel or another agreed location.
