Our 3-Day Premium Amboseli New Year Savannah Escape gives couples, families and friends an unforgettable way to close one year or begin the next in Kenya’s famous elephant country. Starting from Nairobi, you will travel about 215 kilometres in a private safari vehicle, with the transfer normally taking four to five hours depending on festive traffic and scheduled stops. After arriving at your premium lodge or luxury camp, you will enjoy lunch and an afternoon wildlife drive. The second day offers a full-day Amboseli safari with a picnic lunch, while the final morning provides another opportunity to search for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, predators and birds before returning to Nairobi. Guests travelling on December 31 may enjoy a special dinner, music, decorations or a countdown when provided by the selected lodge. Early booking is essential because premium rooms, festive programmes and private vehicles are limited.

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli New Year Escape

Private Holiday Departure

At approximately 6:00 AM in Nairobi, our guide will collect you from your hotel, residence or agreed pickup point. After arranging your luggage, you will begin the private road journey toward Amboseli.

Premium Lodge Arrival

At around 11:30 AM in the Amboseli area, you will check into your premium lodge or luxury camp and enjoy lunch. The staff will confirm any official New Year dining or evening programme.

Final Afternoon Safari of the Year

From approximately 3:00 PM to 6:15 PM inside Amboseli National Park, our guide will search for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and birds. You will return for dinner and any confirmed evening celebration

Day 2: Full-Day New Year Wildlife Experience

Sunrise Savannah Safari

At around 6:00 AM inside Amboseli National Park, you will begin the day with a morning wildlife drive across the plains and wetlands. Our guide will search for active elephant families and grazing animals.

New Year Picnic Lunch

At approximately 12:30 PM at an authorised picnic site, you will enjoy a packed lunch and relax in the park. Couples and families can reflect on the morning sightings before continuing the safari.

Afternoon Wildlife Celebration

From around 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM inside Amboseli, the safari will continue through open plains, woodland and wetland areas. You will return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Closing Amboseli Game Drive

At approximately 6:00 AM inside Amboseli National Park, you will enjoy a final morning safari. Our guide will search for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and birdlife during the cooler hours.

Breakfast and Lodge Departure

At around 9:15 AM at your premium lodge, you will return for breakfast and prepare your luggage. Check-out will normally be completed before 10:30 AM.

New Year Return Journey

From approximately 10:30 AM, you will travel about 215 kilometres back to Nairobi with a meal or refreshment stop. Festive traffic may affect the final arrival time.
