RELATED FAQS ABOUT 3 Days Premium Samburu Family Discovery Safari

    1. Is the safari suitable for young children?

Yes, when parents believe the children can manage the long road journey and remain safely seated during wildlife drives. The private vehicle and split Day 2 game drives provide flexibility and midday rest.

    2. Are child seats available?

Child seats may be requested before booking. Parents should provide each child’s age, approximate weight and required seat type so availability and suitability can be checked.

    3. Will our family have a private vehicle?

Yes. This premium package is organised as a private family safari unless the confirmation states otherwise. The private arrangement makes it easier to manage seating, snacks, questions and rest stops.

    4. Are family rooms available?

Family rooms, connecting rooms and additional beds depend on the selected lodge, camp and travel dates. The preferred configuration should be confirmed before payment because properties have different room layouts.

    5. Why are Day 2 game drives separated?

Samburu can become hot during the middle of the day. Separate morning and afternoon drives allow families to enjoy productive wildlife periods while resting, eating and relaxing at the lodge during warmer hours.

    6. Can children carry snacks?

Yes. Families may carry appropriate snacks and water. Food must never be offered to animals, and all wrappers or waste should remain inside the vehicle until they can be disposed of responsibly.

    7. Are toilets available during game drives?

Toilets are available only at designated locations. Families should use lodge or gate facilities before each drive and inform the guide early when a permitted stop may be needed.

    8. Can grandparents join the family safari?

Yes. The package can accommodate multigenerational families. Mobility, dietary, back or medical concerns should be shared before booking so suitable rooms and assistance can be arranged.

    9. Is the safari educational?

Yes. Our guide can explain animal families, adaptation, tracks, feeding behaviour, dryland habitats and conservation using age-appropriate language. Children are encouraged to ask questions and observe carefully.

    10. What should families pack?

Bring comfortable clothing, closed shoes, hats, sunscreen, warm morning layers, personal medication, child snacks, binoculars and quiet activities for the road journey. Families with small children should carry familiar food and hygiene items.
