Our 3-Day Premium Samburu Honeymoon River Escape combines privacy, premium hospitality and northern Kenya wildlife for couples seeking a distinctive romantic journey. The private road transfer from Nairobi covers approximately 320 kilometres and normally takes six to seven hours, with breakfast and comfort stops included. After arriving at your premium lodge or luxury tented camp, you will enjoy lunch, time together and a private afternoon game drive. Day 2 includes separate morning and afternoon safaris, allowing you to rest at the lodge during the warmer midday hours, while Day 3 begins with a final wildlife experience before breakfast and the return to Nairobi. Our guide will search for elephants, lions, leopards, reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, gerenuks, Beisa oryx and birds. Flowers, room decorations, a cake, private dining or another romantic arrangement may be requested in advance and confirmed according to the selected property.

Day 1: Romantic Nairobi to Samburu Journey

Private Couple’s Transfer

At approximately 5:30 AM in Nairobi, our driver-guide will collect you from your hotel, residence or agreed pickup point. You will begin the private 320-kilometre journey toward Samburu, with breakfast, refreshments and comfort stops arranged along the route.

Romantic Lodge Arrival

At around 12:30–1:30 PM in the Samburu area, you will check into your premium room, suite or luxury tent and enjoy lunch. The early afternoon provides time to relax together while confirmed honeymoon decorations or special arrangements are prepared.

Private Evening Safari

From approximately 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM inside Samburu National Reserve, our guide will search for elephants, reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras and other northern wildlife. The private arrangement allows you to enjoy quiet moments and couple photographs before dinner.

Day 2: Morning and Afternoon Samburu Safaris

Sunrise Wildlife Experience

At around 6:00 AM inside Samburu National Reserve, you will begin a peaceful morning game drive near the riverine woodland and open bushland. Our guide will search for predators, elephants and rare northern herbivores.

Lodge Leisure and Lunch

At approximately 9:00 AM at your premium lodge, you will return for breakfast and enjoy several hours of private relaxation. You may use the property’s available facilities, enjoy lunch and prepare for the afternoon drive.

Romantic Afternoon Game Drive

From around 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM inside the reserve, you will explore another wildlife area while enjoying the warm evening light. After the drive, you will return for dinner and any pre-arranged romantic experience.

Day 3: Final Safari and Nairobi Return

Couple’s Sunrise Drive

At approximately 6:00 AM inside Samburu National Reserve, you will enjoy a final private safari during the cooler morning hours. Our guide will revisit productive locations while searching for elephants, giraffes and other wildlife.

Breakfast and Final Lodge Moments

At around 9:00 AM at your premium accommodation, you will return for breakfast, take final photographs and prepare your luggage. Check-out will normally be completed at approximately 10:00 AM.

Private Journey to Nairobi

From around 10:00 AM, your guide will drive approximately 320 kilometres back to Nairobi in six to seven hours. A lunch and comfort stop will be included before final drop-off.

Yes. It is designed around private transportation, premium accommodation and a relaxed programme with time together between game drives. The package is also suitable for anniversaries, proposals and other romantic celebrations.

2. Can honeymoon room decorations be arranged?

Yes. Flowers, towel decorations, fruit, cake, a personalised message or another setup may be requested. The exact service, cost and design depend on the confirmed lodge or camp.

3. Is private dining available?

Some premium properties can arrange a private table, bush meal or special dinner setting. Availability depends on weather, staffing, safety and property policy, and additional charges may apply.

4. Is the safari vehicle private?

Yes. The package is planned with a private safari vehicle unless the booking confirmation states otherwise. You will not share the road transfers or game drives with unrelated guests.

Yes. Our team can coordinate with the guide and lodge to identify a suitable proposal setting. Flowers, photography, private dining or room decoration may be arranged when requested early and confirmed.

6. Which wildlife may couples see?

Possible sightings include elephants, lions, leopards, reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, gerenuks, Beisa oryx, Somali ostriches and many birds. The animals move freely, so exact encounters cannot be guaranteed.

7. Is the long road journey suitable for a honeymoon?

The journey is long but manageable with an early departure and suitable stops. Couples who prefer less road travel may request a fly-in Samburu package using a scheduled or charter flight.

8. What should couples pack?

Bring comfortable neutral clothing, closed shoes, sun protection, a light morning layer, cameras and personal medication. A smart-casual outfit may be useful for a special dinner or lodge photographs.

9. Can dietary requests be accommodated?

Most premium properties can manage common dietary requirements when informed in advance. Serious allergies, medical diets and strict preferences should be provided in writing before confirmation.

10. Can the honeymoon continue to another destination?

Yes. The safari can continue to Ol Pejeta, Masai Mara, Diani Beach, Mombasa, Zanzibar or another destination. The best route depends on your dates, budget and preferred combination of road travel and flights.
