Our 3-Day Premium Solo Samburu Wilderness Retreat is created for independent travellers who want privacy, security and complete flexibility during a northern Kenya safari. Your professional driver-guide will collect you from Nairobi and accompany you throughout the approximately 320-kilometre road journey, premium lodge stay and private wildlife drives. The transfer normally takes six to seven hours with suitable meal and comfort stops. After arriving at your private room, suite or luxury tent, you will enjoy lunch and an afternoon safari. Day 2 includes separate morning and afternoon drives that can focus on elephants, predators, photography, birds or the Samburu Special Five according to your interests. The final morning provides another private game drive before breakfast and the return to Nairobi. This package is suitable for solo women, solo men, photographers, business travellers and independent guests who prefer not to join a shared departure.

Day 1: Nairobi to Your Samburu Wilderness Retreat

Private Solo Departure

At approximately 5:30 AM in Nairobi, our driver-guide will meet you at your hotel, residence or agreed pickup point. After discussing your wildlife interests, you will begin the private 320-kilometre journey toward Samburu.

Private Accommodation Arrival

At around 12:30–1:30 PM in the Samburu area, you will check into a private room, suite or luxury tent and enjoy lunch. The early afternoon provides time to rest and prepare for your first personalised game drive.

Individual Afternoon Safari

From approximately 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM inside Samburu National Reserve, our guide will shape the route around your preferred wildlife interests. You may focus on elephants, rare northern species, predators, birdlife or photography.

Day 2: Personalised Samburu Wildlife Drives

Private Morning Safari

At around 6:00 AM inside Samburu National Reserve, you will begin a morning drive near the river and surrounding dry bushland. The private arrangement allows you to request additional observation time at meaningful sightings.

Breakfast and Personal Leisure

At approximately 9:00 AM at your premium lodge, you will return for breakfast and enjoy private leisure time. Lunch, photography review and quiet relaxation will be available before the afternoon safari.

Flexible Afternoon Wildlife Drive

From around 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM inside the reserve, our guide will explore a different area based on your previous sightings and priorities. You can concentrate on species or habitats that remain most important to you.

Day 3: Final Safari and Personal Nairobi Transfer

Sunrise Solo Experience

At approximately 6:00 AM inside Samburu National Reserve, you will enjoy a final private morning safari. Our guide will revisit productive areas and search for wildlife not yet encountered.

Breakfast and Private Check-Out

At around 9:00 AM at your premium accommodation, you will return for breakfast and organise your personal belongings. Lodge staff and the guide will assist with luggage and check-out.

Private Return to Nairobi

From around 10:00 AM, your driver-guide will take you approximately 320 kilometres back to Nairobi. A lunch and comfort stop will be included before your confirmed drop-off.
