Take a 3-day Kenya road safari from Nairobi to Amboseli with midrange accommodation, guided game drives, elephants and Kilimanjaro scenery.
Discover the changing landscapes of southern Kenya on this 3-day road safari from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park. The journey combines scenic overland travel, comfortable midrange accommodation and three rewarding game-drive periods across Amboseli’s plains, wetlands and woodland. With our professional guide, you will search for elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and birds while enjoying possible views of Mount Kilimanjaro when the weather is clear.
Our guide will collect you from your Nairobi hotel, residence or agreed meeting point and begin the road journey toward Amboseli National Park. You will travel through the outskirts of Nairobi and across the landscapes of southern Kenya, with comfort and refreshment stops arranged at suitable locations. As you approach Amboseli, the environment becomes more open, and Mount Kilimanjaro may appear when visibility is favourable. After checking into your midrange lodge or tented camp and having lunch, our Kenya road safari enters the park for an afternoon game drive. You will search for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and antelopes before returning to your accommodation for dinner.
After breakfast, you will leave with our guide for a full day of wildlife exploration. The morning hours may provide clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro and active animals moving across the plains. Our safari will visit different habitats, including open grassland, acacia woodland and wetland areas where elephants, hippos, buffaloes and water birds may be observed. You will stop for a picnic or arranged lunch at an approved location before continuing through the park during the afternoon. The full day offers enough time to watch wildlife behaviour and appreciate the contrast between Amboseli’s dry plains and permanent wetlands. You will return to your midrange accommodation in the evening.
You will begin the final day with an early game drive through Amboseli. Our guide will search for animals missed during the previous day and revisit productive wildlife areas before the park becomes busier. You may see elephants moving toward the wetlands, predators returning from nighttime activity or birds feeding in the cooler morning conditions. After the drive, you will return for breakfast and check out. Our midrange Kenya road safari then begins the return journey to Nairobi, with comfort stops arranged where appropriate. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel or another location confirmed during booking.
