3 Days Tanzania Group Joining Safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro

You will share a specially modified 4x4 safari vehicle with other travelers who have booked the same dates. This shared experience allows you to split the costs of the vehicle and professional guide while meeting people from around the world. It is a social and budget friendly way to explore Tanzania's most famous national parks over a short period.

The itinerary covers the Ngorongoro Crater and central Serengeti, which are premium locations for spotting lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, and even the rare black rhino. Our guides are experts at communicating with other drivers to find the best wildlife viewing spots for the group. Even on a short three-day journey, the density of animals in these regions makes it very likely you will see the majority of these iconic species.

Each morning starts early to take advantage of the hours when predators are most active. You will spend several hours on game drives before enjoying a picnic lunch in a scenic part of the park. The group travels together from Arusha to the parks and back, ensuring everyone enjoys the full itinerary without missing any highlights.

We typically utilize public campsites within the parks where you will sleep in sturdy waterproof tents with mattresses. This setup allows you to stay close to nature and hear the sounds of the African night while remaining safe. All camping equipment is provided by us, and a professional chef prepares fresh meals for the group at the site.

Many of our guests are solo travelers who enjoy the companionship and security of a group environment. You will be paired with other like-minded adventurers, making it a great way to make new friends while exploring the wild. There is no single supplement if you are willing to share a tent with a person of the same gender.

Since the schedule is shared with other participants, the main route remains fixed to ensure everyone reaches their destinations on time. However, you can often add a balloon flight in the Serengeti if you book it in advance, as the vehicle can drop you off and pick you up. For major alterations, a private tour would be more suitable to meet your specific needs.

A dedicated cook travels with the group to prepare hot breakfasts and hearty dinners at the campsite. For lunch, you are provided with packed boxes containing sandwiches, fruits, and snacks to enjoy during your game drives. We can cater to vegetarian or vegan preferences if you notify us at the time of your booking.

Our 4x4 Land Cruisers are designed with pop-up roofs that offer a 360-degree view of the surroundings. We limit the number of participants in each vehicle to ensure that everyone has access to a window seat for photography. Each car is also equipped with a long-range radio to stay in contact with other guides regarding wildlife sightings.

You should bring light layers of clothing for the warm days and a warm jacket for the cool nights at the Ngorongoro rim. Comfortable walking shoes, sun protection, and a good pair of binoculars are also highly recommended. Since we travel in a shared vehicle, we ask that you use soft-sided bags to help with luggage storage.

On the way to or from the parks, the group often has the option to stop at a Maasai village for a short cultural visit. This activity allows you to learn about local traditions and purchase handmade crafts directly from the community. It is a wonderful way to add a human element to your wildlife focused holiday.
