Your safari adventure begins with a flight from Zanzibar to Kilimanjaro International Airport in northern Tanzania. Upon arrival your professional safari guide will warmly welcome you before beginning the transfer to Arusha town located about 50 kilometers away. The drive takes roughly one hour and offers scenic views of coffee farms, rural villages, and the impressive slopes of Mount Meru rising above the surrounding landscape. Day 1: Arusha to Central Serengeti – Half-Day Game Drive Across the Savannah

After breakfast depart Arusha early in the morning and begin the scenic journey toward Serengeti National Park, traveling approximately 335 kilometers through the spectacular Ngorongoro highlands. The route offers breathtaking views of volcanic mountains, rolling green hills, and Maasai villages before gradually opening into the vast golden plains of Serengeti. After entering the park your first afternoon game drive begins across the savannah where wildlife sightings often include giraffes, zebras, elephants, gazelles, and lions resting near rocky kopjes.
