Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your guide will warmly welcome you before beginning the short transfer to Arusha, approximately 50 kilometers (about 1 hour drive). The road passes through local villages, coffee farms, and offers stunning views of Mount Meru rising above the landscape. February brings green scenery across the region, creating a fresh and lively atmosphere. After checking in, you will relax at your lodge while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. In the evening, a detailed safari briefing prepares you for the wildlife-rich journey ahead.

Day 1: Arusha to Central Serengeti – Scenic Highlands & First Wildlife Encounters

After breakfast, depart Arusha for a long but incredibly scenic drive of approximately 335 kilometers (6–7 hours) toward Central Serengeti. The journey passes through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering breathtaking views of volcanic highlands and Maasai grazing lands. As you descend into Serengeti, the landscape opens into vast plains dotted with acacia trees. Your afternoon game drive begins immediately, where you may encounter wildebeest herds with newborn calves, zebras, elephants, and predators such as lions and cheetahs attracted by the calving season. The day ends with a beautiful sunset over the savannah before heading to your lodge.

Day 2: Full-Day Serengeti Game Drive – Calving Season & Predator Action

Spend a full day exploring Serengeti’s southern plains, covering large distances in search of wildlife. February is peak calving season, where thousands of wildebeest give birth, creating intense predator activity. Expect sightings of lions, hyenas, and cheetahs hunting, alongside herds of zebras and gazelles. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness, surrounded by endless plains stretching over 15,000 square kilometers. The green landscape, combined with dramatic wildlife action, makes this one of the most rewarding safari experiences.

Day 3: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Back to Arusha (Big Five Experience)

After breakfast, depart Serengeti and drive approximately 150 kilometers toward Ngorongoro Crater. Descend 600 meters into the crater floor, a natural wildlife sanctuary covering 260 square kilometers. Here you may encounter the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard, along with hippos and flamingos near the lake. After a picnic lunch, begin the return journey to Arusha (~180 km) through scenic highlands.
