3 Days Tanzania Luxury Safari in March

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your professional safari guide will warmly welcome you and assist you with your transfer to Arusha town, located approximately 50 kilometers (about 1 hour drive) away. The journey takes you through a mix of local villages, coffee farms, and open countryside, all set against the beautiful backdrop of Mount Meru. During March, the environment is lush and green, making the landscapes vibrant and refreshing after the rainy season. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will check in at your lodge and enjoy some time to relax and settle in after your journey. The peaceful surroundings provide a perfect introduction to your safari experience. After breakfast, you will depart Arusha early in the morning and begin your journey toward Serengeti National Park, covering approximately 335 kilometers (6–7 hours drive) through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands. The drive offers spectacular views of rolling hills, valleys, and Maasai grazing lands, making the journey itself an important part of the experience. As you descend into Serengeti, the landscape opens into vast plains dotted with acacia trees and rocky formations. Upon entering the park, you will begin your afternoon game drive, where you may encounter wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, elephants, and lions resting in the shade. The green season provides plenty of food for herbivores, which also attracts predators into the area. As the day comes to an end, you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Today you will spend a full day exploring Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world, covering nearly 15,000 square kilometers. You will start early in the morning when wildlife is most active, giving you the best opportunity to see predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Throughout the day, you will explore different habitats including open plains and scattered woodlands, where animals such as wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and antelopes can be seen. Around midday, you will enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and the sounds of nature. The green scenery during March adds a unique charm to the safari experience, making it perfect for photography. In the afternoon, you will continue with the game drive before returning to your lodge in the evening.

After breakfast, you will depart Serengeti and drive approximately 150 kilometers toward the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most remarkable natural attractions. Upon arrival, you will descend about 600 meters into the crater, which covers approximately 260 square kilometers and supports a high concentration of wildlife. During the game drive, you may see lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, hippos, and flamingos, as well as many other species living within this natural enclosure. The crater offers one of the best opportunities to see a variety of animals in a relatively short time. After enjoying a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, you will begin your return journey to Arusha, covering approximately 180 kilometers through scenic highland landscapes. You will arrive in the late afternoon or early evening.
