Our Kenya cultural safari begins with an approximately 270-kilometre journey from Nairobi to Maasai Mara, taking around 5½ to 6½ hours. You will pass through urban areas, the Great Rift Valley escarpment, agricultural highlands, trading centres, livestock zones and open savannah. Our guide will introduce the geographical and cultural changes visible along the road. After lunch and check-in, you will enjoy a 2½ to 3-hour afternoon game drive covering around 25 to 45 kilometres through grassland, acacia woodland and seasonal water channels.

Day 2: Full-Day Maasai Mara Wildlife and Landscape Experience

Full-Day Maasai Mara Wildlife and Landscape Experience

After breakfast, you will leave with packed lunch for an 8 to 10-hour safari covering approximately 80 to 120 kilometres. Our guide will explore open plains, riverine forest, marshes and acacia savannah while discussing wildlife, pastoral land use and conservation. You will search for predators, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and other animals before enjoying a picnic lunch inside the reserve. The afternoon continues with additional wildlife viewing and cultural interpretation of the wider Mara ecosystem.

Day 3: Maasai Mara Safari and Optional Community Visit

Maasai Mara Safari and Optional Community Visit

Your third day may include a second full-day game drive of approximately 8 to 10 hours or a combined programme with wildlife viewing and a pre-arranged cultural visit. The safari section may cover around 50 to 90 kilometres through grassland, riverine habitat and pastoral landscapes. During a community-hosted experience, you may learn about homestead design, livestock, clothing, music and modern Maasai life. Our guide will explain photography etiquette, and permission must be requested before taking close photographs. Cultural fees and arrangements should be confirmed before departure.

Following breakfast, you will travel approximately 270 kilometres back to Nairobi, taking around 5½ to 6½ hours. The journey moves from Maasai pastoral landscapes and savannah into agricultural highlands, Rift Valley viewpoints and urban areas. Our guide will continue explaining regional livelihoods and environmental changes before dropping you at your agreed Nairobi location.
