Our Kenya road safari from Nairobi begins when our guide collects you from your hotel, residence or agreed pickup point. You will travel through the fertile central highlands, passing farms, towns and scenic countryside before continuing towards Isiolo. The vegetation gradually changes as your journey approaches the dry northern landscapes of Samburu. After arriving at your midrange accommodation and enjoying lunch, you will take an afternoon game drive in search of elephants, lions, reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras and other animals near the Ewaso Nyiro River.

You will begin the day with an early morning game drive when wildlife is active and temperatures are cooler. Our guide will explore the riverbanks and open plains while helping you identify Samburu’s unique northern species. After breakfast, your Kenya road safari includes time to relax at the lodge before the afternoon drive. Your morning begins with a final wildlife drive in Samburu before returning for breakfast. Our road journey will then continue south through Isiolo and Nanyuki towards Ol Pejeta Conservancy. You will notice the landscape becoming greener as you approach the Mount Kenya region. After checking into your midrange accommodation, you may enjoy a short evening game drive or spend time relaxing while watching wildlife around the lodge area.

After breakfast, our guide will take you through Ol Pejeta Conservancy in search of rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, lions, zebras and other plains animals. Your safari may include selected rhino conservation areas and the chimpanzee sanctuary zone, depending on opening conditions and access. After the morning wildlife experience, your Kenya road safari from Nairobi ends with a comfortable drive back to the city, arriving during the late afternoon or early evening.
